About

An International Traveler who found her niche

I hold childhood memories between the state lines of Alabama, California and Kentucky, yet I grew up in Europe. My initial Study Abroad experience to Paris, France has guided me to where I am today, as well as who I am today. I consider France to be a second home as a result of this country serving as my introduction to being immersed into intercultural learning and understanding. After my initial exposure in 2014 with the Kentucky Institute for International Studies (KIIS) Study Abroad program, I went on to work with the Teaching Assistant Program in France (TAPIF) in the Académie d'Amiens from 2015-2016. Upon the completion of my contract, I returned to the US, where I worked for 2 years before deciding I was ready for more exploration on the cobblestoned streets of Europe. This led to my most recent adventure with TAPIF for the second time around where I was placed in the Académie de Bordeaux from 2018-2019. Midway through my contract, I knew I wanted to be further immersed in the field of Education Abroad, so I applied for the International Education Management specialization program with French as my focus. Three months after returning home from France, I packed my bags for Monterey, California where I'm currently  residing as a Masters degree Candidate at MIIS!
